Our long-term friends will know that Mad Mac regularly appeared on our website a couple of years back.
One day he decided that he'd had enough of this new-fangled technology and went off to play his beloved Scottish links with his favourite hickories.
Now we have persuaded him to join us again to share his experiences of some of the UK's best hickory courses, chat about old golf and offer advice on club repairs
What are all the old clubs called? What are their modern equivalents?

Mac has all kinds of information on all things golf. He is starting a new series of 'TOP TIPS' to share his experience with you.
Click HERE to read the first of these, on that dread complaint - 'Golfer's Elbow'.
Mad Mac is a Scottish caddy whose caddying traditions stretch back through the years to when his father, grandfather and great grandfather were caddies on the links of Scotland, England and Ireland to some of the greatest names in golf of the Golden Era. Nowadays Mac works exclusively as a consultant to PAST MASTERS.
He is extremely knowledgeable about golf history; the golfers, equipment and play of the days when the feel of leather grips, hickory shafts and hand forged steel on the gutty ball defined the game. He relishes the art of the game, not just the science, and has his own philosophy and tips which are based in the play of the original greats and hold good whatever the equipment or standard of play of today's golfer.
'Old Links Golf'; 'The Craique'; 'Old Links Craique'; 'Tribute Golf'; 'Tribute Golf Hole'; and 'Stymie Club' are all Trade MarksTM of Past Masters Hickory Golf Events.
